About this PreSchool

The purpose of Head Start is to help break the cycle of poverty by providing preschool children of low-income families with a comprehensive program to meet their emotional, social, health, nutritional and psychological needs.

Eligibility:

• Children between the ages of three and five from low-income families
• Foster children
• Homeless children
• Children with special needs
• Children who fall between the age requirements are eligible

Entry is based on a tally for an enrollment point system.

Children and families who are enrolled in the Head Start Program in Akiachak, Bethel, Chefornak, Kotlik, Nightmute, Quinhagak, Russian Mission, Scammon Bay, Tuntutuliak, Tuluksak, and Tununak
