For Head Start:
Family must meet federal income guidelines for acceptance into the program. A typical day begins at 8:50 am and operates until 1:50 PM. The program operates from September through June and is available for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years. Families have no fees with this program.
Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally funded community based program for low income families with infants toddlers and pregnant women. The Mission of EHS is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes, to enhance the development of young children, and to promote healthy family functioning
In the Home Base model the families receive weekly 90 minute visits in the home. The home becomes the learning environment and the parent the key facilitator of their child?s development.
The family must meet the federal income guidelines for acceptance and the parent or guardian is expected to be working or attending school. A fee is assessed based on a sliding fee scale.
