Children's Institute is the largest agency of its kind working to transform the lives of children exposed to adversity and poverty in Los Angeles. 

Children's Institute believes that a child's early years are critical to their development and success later in life.

Offering comprehensive support where it's needed most, their preschools and Home Visitation services are nurturing programs where kids learn and thrive.

Early Head Start promotes school readiness, child development and family well-being for prenatal mothers and children ages 0 to 3, both in the home and in center-based environments.

The home-based program consists of weekly home visits from a trained staff member who provides parenting education and support for optimal family functioning, while the center-based program provides education and support in an early education center.

By working with children from a young age, Early Head Start ensures children and their families are ready for the transition to preschool.
