Head Start is a comprehensive program for children three to five years of age. The program prepares young children to enter kindergarten by helping them to develop mentally, socially, emotionally, physically, and ultimately, school ready.
To enroll in Head Start, families must be income eligible by meeting the requirements of the federal poverty guidelines and live within the zip codes that we service.
For the past seven years, Golden Forest has provided an educational environment with qualified, experienced teachers and support staff for our students and their families while embracing cultural and ethnic diversities.
These children benefit from receiving a strong foundation in academics, and the development of social/emotional and motor skills. In addition, the families have the opportunity to participate in their child's learning through the weekly family activity packets, monthly parent meetings, and volunteer opportunities.
Golden Forest joins parents/families to form a solid "TEAM" and together, we plant the early "Seeds of Success." In the words of Jose Villarreal, AVANCE's Executive Director, "Children have Aspirations, AVANCE provides the Inspiration."
At Golden Forest, every day has the potential to be "great" because each child has "great" potential.
