Early Head Start is a child development and family support program for children from six weeks to three years of age and expectant mothers. It promotes healthy prenatal outcomes and enhances the development of young children, in order to create a healthy family environment.
All families wishing to enroll in Early Head Start must be income eligible by meeting the requirements of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, must live within the zip codes that we service: 77009, 77093, 77022 or PISD School Boundaries and have up to date immunizations, well child exams and dental exams for the children applying. We also reserve 10% of our enrollment for children with special needs and assist in providing or securing the proper resources to aid in the development and education of these children and their families.
