Head StartRegistration Information Head Start is a government-funded program for economically disadvantaged children and families. Applications for enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year will be taken daily from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.. It is not necessary to bring the Head Start child with you. Lake Ridge Schools Head Start is a half-day program,Monday through Thursday. Children must be three (3) years old by August 1, 2011 and must live in the Lake Ridge Schools district. (children who live in Tiberon Trails live in this district). Children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Classes are filled with eligible children according to government guidelines.
