Head Start Administrative office.

Comprehensive child development program for three-and four year olds.

Full year/ full day program located in ten centers throughout the county.

Mission is to develop/ enhance the social/emotional health, nutritional and psychological needs of children from economically disadvantaged families.

10% of the Head Start slots are for handicapped.

Head Start promotes school readiness of low-income children by enhancing their cognitive, social and emotional development in a learning environment that supports children's growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science,social and emotional functioning, creative arts, and physical skills.

Early Head Start provides

• Early
• Continuous
• Intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services on a year-round basis to low-income families to enhance the physical
• Social
• Emotional
• Intellectual development of infants and toddlers from birth to age three and pregnant women.

Early Head Start Home Based Options

• A comprehensive full-year program providing child development
• Education
• Social
• Emotional
• Health
• Nutritional and psychological services to parents and their children birth - three years and pregnant women in the comfort of their homes.
• Bimonthly socialization's are conducted to allow opportunities for families to network with each other.
• Transportation is provided for socialization's.

Eligibility:

• Meet current Federal Poverty Guidelines
• Foster children who are age eligible may qualify regardless of their familys income.    

Provide the following documents:   

• Birth Certificate (Proof of Guardianship/Custody if applicable)   
• Proof of Residency   
• Proof of Income for the past 52 weeks or previous calendar year (i.e. pay stubs, W-2, 1040, statement from employer, etc.)   
• Documentation of childs disability (if applicable)   
• Photo Identification of ParentApplications will be accepted daily at this Head Start Administrative office.
