HEAD START ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS AND GUIDELINESChildren with disabilities must make up 10% of the enrollment of the Head Start program.People over income guidelines of financial hardship or in a situation in which they cannot afford childcare must make up 10% of the enrollment of Head Start.Applications are taken all year. Parents are notified in July of the acceptance of the applications for the coming school year. Those not accepted are put on a waiting list if classes are full.Once a child is accepted into the program, he/she is automatically eligible for enrollment the next year.Application forms are available on this website, and should be delivered to the Head Start program office, 58015 Plaquemine Street, Plaquemine, LA 70765-0722.Information on the application process can be obtained by calling the Head Start office at 225-685-5200.
